This Saturday (oct. 1) is the 4th Annual Cantina Cup Regatta on the Southwest Waterfront. This DC Sail fundraiser brings sailors from all over the mid-Atlantic region for a full day of events featuring exciting races beginning at 10 a.m. Come out to watch Lasers, FJs, Flying Scots, Lightnings, PHRF spinnaker and PHRF non-spinnaker fleets compete for a good cause, the National Marine Heritage Foundation‘s (NMHF) adult sailing outreach program DC Sail.
The registration deadline has passed for racing, but if you’d like to volunteer it might not be too late. To get closer to the action, reserve a spot now on the Corona Spectator Boat. The boat pushes off at 1 p.m. and tickets start at $60, which includes, of course, free Corona beers. Must be 21+.
At the end of the day, head to the Cantina Marina for the Mount Gay After Party. The party starts at 6:00 pm. A $25 cover gets you: four free Mount Gay drinks, live music, an awards ceremony, prizes and a really fun night. 100% of the ticket proceeds go to NMHF for their adult education programs.
